The Drifting Classroom

The Drifting Classroom
Synopsis
The 862 students and staff of Yamato Elementary School vanish without warning during what witnesses describe as a massive explosion. In fact, the school building has been hurled through time to a desolate, ruined future landscape with no other survivors in sight. Cut off from food, water, and any adult authority beyond a handful of surviving teachers, sixth-grader Sho Takamatsu and his classmates must find a way to survive a series of escalating catastrophes -- and confront the panic, cruelty, and desperation that surface within the group itself.
Serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1972 to 1974 and winner of the Shogakukan Manga Award, Kazuo Umezu's horror classic is collected here in the hardcover Perfect Edition omnibus format, with a new translation by Sheldon Drzka.
