Der Mädchenmaler is the second volume in Monika Feth's Erdbeerpflücker (Jette Weingärtner) thriller series.

Jette and her friend Merle never quite manage to get close to Ilka, the girlfriend of Jette's new roommate — and then Ilka disappears without explanation. With the police investigation stalled, Jette takes matters into her own hands, and her amateur digging soon surfaces a dark, buried chapter of Ilka's past that someone is determined to keep hidden.

The novel is one of the entries that established the series' reputation for tense, psychologically sharp mysteries with teenage protagonists.
