Synopsis
"Der Scherbensammler" is the third installment in Monika Feth's German YA thriller series built around the recurring character Jette, whose summers keep drawing her into other people's crimes. As with the rest of the cycle, the novel alternates between the perpetrator's and the victims' perspectives, letting the reader see the mounting danger from both sides before it converges on Jette and the people around her.
Feth published the series over roughly two decades, and it became one of the best-known German-language YA thriller cycles of its kind, praised for treating the psychology of its antagonists with the same seriousness as its young protagonists. "Der Scherbensammler" was published in 2007.
