Synopsis

Déjà Date is the ninth book in Susan Hatler's Better Date than Never series, a sweet contemporary romance line published in 2015. It reads as a standalone.

Melinda has a bakery to run and a list to finish. Her late father's will left her an adventurous Carpe Diem list to complete, and one of the items is a date that genuinely takes her breath away — a tall order for someone who has spent years being careful.

Then Nate comes back to the neighborhood. He gave Melinda her first kiss and then broke her heart, and the old feelings do not take long to resurface. A second-chance romance about grief, nerve, and the difference between a safe life and a full one.

Sweet rather than steamy, with the small-community warmth that runs through the whole Better Date than Never series.
