Wenn Ich Nicht Genug Bin

Wenn Ich Nicht Genug Bin
Synopsis
Fifteen-year-old Johanna is trying to survive the ordinary chaos of puberty on top of a family that hasn't caught many breaks — her father's income doesn't stretch far enough, her mother had the first of four kids as a teenager, and one of her siblings can't seem to get life on track. "Wenn Ich Nicht Genug Bin" follows Johanna through first love, friendship, self-doubt, and the quiet shame of never having quite enough, whether that's money, attention, or self-worth.
A.L. Kahnau writes toward a YA audience but doesn't soften the material — poverty, family dysfunction, and the fear of not measuring up are treated as the real, ongoing pressures they are rather than a single crisis to be resolved.
