Synopsis

In the small town of Beaufort, North Carolina, in 1958, seventeen-year-old Landon Carter is coasting through his senior year — until he finds himself paired with Jamie Sullivan, the quiet, deeply religious daughter of the town's Baptist minister, a girl he has known his whole life and never really seen. Jamie carries her Bible everywhere, wears the same old cardigan, and seems immune to the social hierarchy that rules the school.

As Landon is drawn reluctantly into her world, he discovers a strength and grace he never expected, and a love that will change him forever — even as Jamie carries a secret that tests everything he thought he knew about faith, sacrifice, and what it means to truly love someone.

Narrated by Landon looking back across forty years, Nicholas Sparks's A Walk to Remember is a tender, bittersweet story of first love and the quiet miracles ordinary people are capable of.
