Un matrimonio in provincia

Denza Dellara is a clumsy young woman suffocating under the dull routine of her provincial Italian town. To escape her family's constant efforts to ground her in reality, she spins a romantic fantasy around Onorato, a wealthy local giant who quotes opera but cannot marry a girl without a dowry. As her youth slips away, she must choose between holding out for an impossible dream or accepting the proposal of a wealthy but plain-looking farmer who offers her a practical way out.
