Synopsis

To mark Twilight's tenth anniversary, Stephenie Meyer paired her original novel with an entirely new companion piece: Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, a gender-swapped retelling of the same story.

The classic side follows Bella Swan, who moves to the perpetually overcast town of Forks, Washington, and falls for Edward Cullen, a mysterious classmate who turns out to be a vampire; their romance draws her into a decades-old world of vampires, werewolves, and the dangers of loving one.

Life and Death swaps the genders of the leads: human teenager Beaufort Swan falls for vampire Edythe Cullen, walking through the same story from a new pair of eyes. The two novels are bound together as a single oversize, jacketed hardcover flip book, published October 6, 2015 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, with reversible cover art — a red apple for Twilight, a green apple for Life and Death.
