Truth and Lies
Synopsis
Detective Inspector Amy Winter hopes to follow in the footsteps of her highly respected police-officer father. Then a letter arrives from the cell of Lillian Grimes, one half of a notorious husband-and-wife serial-killer team, with a revelation that tears her life apart: Lillian is her biological mother.
Lillian is prepared to reveal where three of her victims are buried — but only if Amy plays along with her twisted game. While Amy's colleagues search frantically for a young girl taken from her mother's doorstep, Amy is dragged back into her own dark past and the blurred memory of a sister who sacrificed herself to save her.
Truth and Lies is the first book in Caroline Mitchell's DI Amy Winter series, set around London's Notting Hill police station.
