In Cold Blood
Synopsis
A serial-killer couple are kidnapping women and releasing them to be hunted. Survive four days and you live; most do not. DI Amy Winter is five months pregnant and keeping it secret from her team, and this is the most dangerous case of her career.
When the killers ask for a meeting with Amy, her superior sends a decoy in her place. The couple take Amy from her flat instead, and the countdown starts. As her injuries mount, DCI Donovan turns for help to the last person anyone would ask: Lillian Grimes, Amy's incarcerated serial-killer mother, who understands exactly how people like this think.
In Cold Blood is the fifth book in Caroline Mitchell's DI Amy Winter series. It is not related to the Truman Capote book of the same title.
