Synopsis

Armand, the eternal leader of the Theatre des Vampires, recounts his long life from his childhood in the Kievan Rus to his time as a slave in Renaissance Venice. Under the tutelage of the ancient Marius, he finds both love and a dark rebirth before facing the religious zealotry of a Parisian coven. Anne Rice was born Howard Allen Frances O'Brien on 4 October 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the second of four daughters of Irish Catholic parents Katherine "Kay" Allen O'Brien and Howard O'Brien.
