In the near-future Australian outback, an army lieutenant is assigned to a top-secret mission after a mysterious alien artifact is discovered. This 'Stairway' is a gateway to another world, and she is part of the first team to step through. What they find on the other side is a dangerous and beautiful new planet that will test their training and their humanity to the absolute limit.
