Synopsis

Dirk Pitt finds himself caught in a web of international intrigue on an isolated Greek island. A World War I fighter plane mysteriously attacks a modern U.S. Air Force base, while a saboteur targets an American scientific expedition. The Board of Governors of the Maritime College, State University of New York, considered The Sea Hunters in lieu of a Ph.D. thesis and awarded Cussler a Doctor of Letters degree in May, 1997.
