Synopsis

Five centuries ago, an ancient Andean civilization vanished with a golden treasure of immense value. Now, in 1998, adventurer Dirk Pitt finds himself entangled in a dangerous quest for this lost Inca gold after rescuing two archaeologists. A ruthless crime syndicate is also after the billion-dollar prize, leading Pitt into a deadly race from the Andes to a hidden underground river in Mexico. He must stop them before they claim the treasure and eliminate him.
