Synopsis

When a deadly acute hemorrhagic fever breaks out in an Indonesian internment camp, microbiologist Henry Parsons is sent by the WHO to investigate. He uncovers a terrifying truth: an infected man is heading to Mecca for the annual Hajj, threatening to unleash a global pandemic. As Henry races to quarantine millions of pilgrims, U.S. Homeland Security scrambles to respond to what may be biowarfare, while the disease ravages the United States, dismantling institutions and decimating the population, leaving Henry's family in Atlanta fighting for survival.
