Synopsis

Mildred Crest thought she had it all: a promising engagement and a bright future. But when her fiancé absconds with company funds, Mildred is left disgraced and desperate for a new start. A chance encounter leads her to assume another woman's identity, but this new life is far from the escape she imagined. The hitchhiker she replaced was running from danger, and now Mildred is caught in the crosshairs of a blackmailer. When the extortionist turns up dead, Mildred must turn to the legendary Perry Mason to clear her name.
