Synopsis

When Mrs. Gentrie discovers an empty tin among her preserves, it sparks a chain of events that draws the renowned lawyer Perry Mason into a baffling case. A man vanishes, a neighbor seeks help for an undisclosed reason, and Mason finds himself entangled in a tale of old partnerships, missing heirs, and a cranky old man. As bodies begin to surface and a link to arms smuggling in the Far East emerges, Mason and Della Street must navigate a web of deceit where the truth is hidden in plain sight, complicated by a crucial wrong assumption.
