Synopsis

In a devastated future where climate collapse has fractured the world into small, wary settlements, Reid lives with a genetic condition, inherited from her mother, that periodically overwhelms her with an urge to leave home and wander — the "migration" that gives the novella its title. When she is unexpectedly offered a place at a mysterious foreign university, Reid must decide whether to abandon the fragile, familiar community that has kept her safe.

Premee Mohamed's The Annual Migration of Clouds is a quiet, character-driven post-apocalyptic novella about chronic illness, found community, and the pull between the safety of the known and the risk of leaving it behind.
