Synopsis

Saga, Volume 3 continues Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples' sprawling space-fantasy epic about Alana and Marko, star-crossed soldiers from opposite sides of a galaxy-spanning war, and their young daughter Hazel, who narrates the story from adulthood.

Collecting issues #13-18, this volume finds the family still on the run, their circle widening to include new and returning allies and enemies as bounty hunters and warring factions close in. The series is known for blending war drama, family saga, and pulp science-fantasy imagery — rocket-ship trees, robot royalty, ghost babysitters — with unusually frank, adult subject matter.

As with the rest of the series, the tone mixes tenderness toward the family at its center with sudden, brutal violence, reflecting Saga's broader theme that war corrupts everything it touches, even love.
