Synopsis

Grace Boyd has built a career on a carefully curated online life. When her dishonesty is exposed and her following turns on her, the career collapses overnight and she retreats to Shelter Beach, the New England island town she grew up in, to work at her family's inn while she figures out what is left.

On the island she reconnects with a fisherman she had a crush on in high school, and strikes up an unlikely rapport with a British reporter-turned-author who has rented the beach house next door. Over one summer, Grace has to work out which version of herself she actually wants to be, and who — if anyone — she wants to be it with.

Return to Shelter Beach is an Audible Original written for audio by Terence Gray, Erin Day and Ian Thake, and performed by a full cast with an immersive soundscape rather than read by a single narrator. It runs a little over four hours.
