Synopsis

Paladin's Faith is the fourth novel in T. Kingfisher's Saint of Steel series, published in December 2023. Marguerite Florian has built her career acquiring and selling information by any means necessary, but a scheme against a dangerous former employer puts her life at risk and pairs her with Shane, a paladin of a god who no longer exists.

Between a brilliant artificer's invention, a glittering and treacherous court, wilderness travel, and a demon-led cult closing in, Shane and Marguerite have to survive court intrigue and espionage together — all while trying to keep their hearts as intact as their skins. The novel continues the series' pattern of pairing one of the god-abandoned paladins with a woman strong enough to match him, balancing political scheming and action against a slow-building romance.

The book was a nominee for the 2024 Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel.
