Synopsis

Railway magnate Tom Severin is wealthy and powerful enough to satisfy any desire the moment it arises — and from his first glimpse of Lady Cassandra Ravenel, he's determined to have her. Cassandra finds him the most compelling man she's ever met, but she has no interest in a marriage to a ruthless man with a frozen heart; she wants to marry for love, the one thing Severin swears he can't offer.

When a fortune-hunting rival nearly destroys Cassandra's reputation, Severin seizes the opening he's been waiting for and proposes the marriage that suits them both — a practical arrangement, in his telling. But Tom Severin has one lesson still to learn from his new bride: never underestimate a Ravenel.

The sixth novel in Lisa Kleypas's New York Times bestselling Ravenels series, Chasing Cassandra is a witty, steamy historical romance about a man who has never lost anything he set out to win, and the woman determined to be the exception.
