Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love

Hermione Granger is a brilliant biomedical researcher closing in on a discovery that threatens to upset powerful people, which is how she ends up with a bodyguard she never asked for. Draco Malfoy, now working as an Auror and still carrying the weight of the war and his family's history, is assigned to keep her safe, whether either of them likes it or not.

They despised each other at Hogwarts and fought on opposite sides of the war that followed. Forced into close, constant proximity, their old hostility slowly, reluctantly gives way to something neither is prepared to name, built through witty sparring, quiet acts of trust, and the accumulating small moments that turn enemies into something else entirely.
