Never Look Back

Never Look Back
Synopsis
Women are disappearing, and Special Agent Melina Shepard of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is tired of waiting for a break. She goes undercover as a prostitute to draw the killer out — an impulsive decision that nearly costs her her life, and forces her to admit she needs backup.
The backup is Jerrod Ramsey, an FBI agent who works alone by preference. The two of them get nowhere until a little girl is found abandoned in a crashed car; when they open its trunk, the case splits open. What they are looking at is not one killer with an evolving method but two, working with very different signatures, and the overlap between them is where the missing women went.
Never Look Back is the sixth Criminal Profiler novel from Mary Burton — a fast, grim Tennessee-set manhunt built around a partnership neither agent wanted.
