Synopsis

In the final days of Henry VIII's reign, lawyer Matthew Shardlake is pulled into a dangerous conspiracy involving a stolen manuscript written by Queen Catherine Parr. As religious factions fight for control over the future of the English throne, Shardlake must navigate a city filled with spies and heretic hunters to protect his royal patron. The stakes are high, as a single mistake in this power struggle could lead directly to the executioner's block.
