Synopsis

Camille is seventeen and afraid her mind will never be normal. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, haunted by the childhood friends she was told were imaginary, she pins her hopes on a month-long teen treatment programme at a camp in Iceland.

What she finds there upends the diagnosis entirely. Camille is not sick; she has supernatural abilities, and so does the friend she makes at the camp. As the two of them learn to control their powers, Camille grows uneasy about the staff who are teaching them and about what the programme is really for.

Told as Camille's story within Tricia Copeland's Kingdom Journals, this young adult urban fantasy braids vampires, witches, and a long-running curse into a boarding-camp thriller with a strong heroine at its centre.
