Synopsis

Dante Russo is a billionaire CEO who lives for control, until a blackmail threat against his family forces him into an engagement he never wanted. Vivian Lau is the poised heiress on the other end of the arrangement, marrying to elevate her family's standing even as she chafes at being treated as a pawn. What begins as a frosty marriage of convenience between two strangers slowly warms into something neither planned, even as Dante plots his revenge against the man who cornered him. The first book in the Kings of Sin series introduces Ana Huang's central conceit: seven morally grey billionaires, each embodying one of the seven deadly sins. Sharing a universe with the Twisted books, it opens the series on wrath, and on a forced union that turns dangerously real.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need to read other books by this author before starting this one?

This title functions as an interconnected standalone, meaning it can be enjoyed on its own without prior knowledge of the author's other works. While characters from different series occasionally make cameo appearances or are referenced as part of a shared universe, these moments do not impact the primary plot or your ability to follow the story.

  • How does this series relate to the author's other collections?

All of the author's series exist within the same overarching universe, often referred to by readers as the Anaverse. You may encounter Easter eggs or familiar faces from the Twisted series or other collections, but each series is designed to be distinct in its specific character arcs and thematic focus.

  • What is the Kings of Sin concept?

Each book centers on a different morally grey billionaire who embodies one of the seven deadly sins, with King of Wrath opening the series on wrath.

  • How many Kings of Sin books are there, and is the series finished?

The series is planned as seven books, one per deadly sin. It is not yet complete: the sixth (King of Gluttony) and seventh (King of Lust) are scheduled for 2026 and 2027.

  • How is this connected to the Twisted series?

Kings of Sin shares Ana Huang's universe with the Twisted books. Christian Harper from Twisted Lies appears in King of Wrath, tying the two series together.

  • Should I read Twisted or Kings of Sin first?

Both are interconnected standalones, but many readers recommend reading Twisted first so you recognize Christian Harper when he appears here.

  • Is this an arranged-marriage romance?

Yes. The story is built on a blackmail-driven marriage of convenience between two strangers that slowly turns into something real.
