Synopsis

Ice Planet Holiday is a novella entry in Ruby Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarians series, set on the frozen alien world where a group of stranded human women live among the sa-khui, a tribe of blue-skinned alien hunters. With no winter holidays of their own on this world, Georgie and the other women decide to invent new traditions for their adopted home — babies are born, gifts are exchanged, and the settlement takes on a rare note of cheer.

At the center of the story is a new romance: a human woman looking for a change in her life, and the alien hunter determined to keep her safe, continuing the found-family and fish-out-of-water threads that run through the wider series.

At roughly 25,000 words, this is a short novella positioned after book four of the series and assumes familiarity with the sa-khui and the human women who came before.
