Barbarian's Heart

Synopsis

She and her mate built a life together on the ice planet, raising their son as a family — until the ground shook and he nearly died. He survives, but wakes with no memory of the past two years: not her, not their bond, not the child they made together.

Barbarian's Heart is the ninth entry in Ruby Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarians series, and it turns the fated-mates premise inward — asking whether a couple can find their way back to each other when only one of them remembers what they had. It is an explicit, spicy romance, and the emotional core is the slow rebuilding of trust and intimacy from near-strangers back to mates.

Like the rest of the series, it can be read as part of Ruby Dixon's ongoing Ice Planet Barbarians run, following the resonant-mates couples who came before.
