Synopsis

Dörte thinks she has her life figured out — until Philippa, the new girl in class, arrives. Quiet, independent, and hard to read, Philippa throws Dörte's emotional world into disarray in ways she doesn't fully understand at first.

As their connection deepens into something neither of them expected, Dörte has to reckon with conventional expectations and her own fears about what it means to fall for another girl. Julia Mayer, previously known for fantastical YA and dark dystopias, tells a grounded, realistic story about first love, patience, and the responsibility of not playing with someone else's heart.

Frostbiss is a quiet coming-of-age novel about the courage it takes to be honest about who you love.
