Synopsis

Freed: Fifty Shades Freed as Told by Christian retells the events of Fifty Shades Freed from Christian Grey's point of view. It opens with Christian and Anastasia newly married, adjusting to life together after their wedding and honeymoon, and follows Christian as he tries to balance his instinct for control with the demands of an equal partnership.

The retelling stays close to the plot of Fifty Shades Freed but gives readers direct access to Christian's thinking: his wariness about trusting happiness, his reactions to lingering threats from his and Ana's past, and the strain that old enemies and new responsibilities put on the marriage. As in the original book, the couple's bond is tested by outside danger even as they try to settle into ordinary domestic life.

Published in 2021, this is the third and final companion volume in E. L. James's Fifty Shades series told from Christian's perspective, following Grey and Darker.
