Synopsis

Elvis Cole is hired by a woman who fears her boyfriend, a member of an elite LAPD unit, is caught up in something dangerous. As Cole and his partner Joe Pike dig deeper, they find themselves targets of a group of cops who operate by their own rules. It is a sharp look at the thin line between law enforcement and the criminal world in Los Angeles.

Before turning to novels he wrote for series including Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, Cagney & Lacey and L.A. Law.
