Synopsis

Neil Gaiman's account of Douglas Adams and the making of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, tracing its evolution from a notion Adams had in a field near Innsbruck in 1971 through the original BBC radio series, the novels, the TV adaptation, a computer game, and beyond. This edition is updated with a new foreword by Gaiman. It is a companion book about the series, not a Hitchhiker's novel itself.
