Butterfly in Frost
Synopsis
Sylvia Day's return after the Crossfire saga is a short, emotionally charged standalone. Its narrator has, after a difficult past, built a life she can live with: a home she renovated, friends she adores, work that fulfils her, and an order she guards carefully.
That order breaks when Garrett Frost buys the house next door. He is obstinate and too bold, a raging force of nature, and she recognises the ghosts that haunt him because they look like her own. Wounded, he is more dangerous than he would be in any other form — and more tempting. The novel turns on whether she is too fragile for the storm inside him, or whether hope can, as Day puts it, soar above even the iciest desolation.
Butterfly in Frost is written to be read twice; readers should expect a late turn that recasts what came before. Published by Montlake Romance in August 2019.
