Synopsis

Young investment banker Tim Ekaterin dives into the high-stakes world of horse racing. When a multi-million dollar loan for a champion horse is jeopardized by a mysterious defect, Tim must uncover the truth. His desperate search for answers leads him into a dangerous web of violence and murder.

Dick Francis (1920–2010) was a British steeplechase jockey turned crime novelist. Born in Coedcanlas, Pembrokeshire, Wales, he served as an RAF pilot in the Second World War before becoming one of Britain's leading National Hunt jockeys, riding over 350 winners and serving as jockey to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother — most famously aboard Devon Loch, which collapsed within sight of victory in the 1956 Grand National.
