Synopsis
Two mail-order brides, Macon and Bess, set out for the Wyoming Territory with nothing but hope and a letter. What begins as a shared dream of a new life on the frontier becomes a decades-long bond forged through hardship, a kidnapping, and the slow erosion of the promises they were sold.
As the years pass, their paths diverge: Bess becomes a sensation, her survival story told and retold by a public hungry for adventure, while Macon remains behind, quietly carrying the weight of what was lost. A lyrical, elegiac play about the cost of survival and the enduring power of friendship.
