Synopsis

When a seemingly perfect gentleman is found murdered in his study, Scotland Yard inspectors Hannasyde and Hemingway are baffled. The victim, Ernest Fletcher, was well-liked and respected, leaving few obvious suspects. However, as the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that Fletcher harbored many dark secrets, and a surprising number of people had a motive for his death. The case takes a sinister turn with a second murder, suggesting the killer is on a mission.

She was the eldest child of Sylvia Watkins and George Heyer; her brother George Boris was born four years later, and her brother Frank nine years later.
