Synopsis

A high-stakes game of bridge in London turns deadly when two guests are found strangled with picture wire in the exact same spot. Inspector Hemingway faces a difficult case when the evidence points directly to Beulah Birtley, a young woman with a public grudge against the first victim. Her fiancé, Timothy Kane, must dig into her shady past to clear her name before the inspector closes the net.
