Synopsis

Studying astrophysics at Lakestone is Brynn's greatest dream, so when a scholarship competition opens up, she flies to Seattle to compete for it — and immediately clashes with Kace, a musician from Dublin. What Brynn doesn't know is that Kace's scholarship isn't only about his talent: he's secretly become a father, and the deaths of both his daughter's mother and his own mother still haunt him, threatening the one thing — music — that's kept him afloat.

The closer Brynn gets to him, the harder Kace pushes her away. "What We Lost," the second book in Alexandra Flint's Lakestone Campus of Seattle trilogy, can be read as a standalone, with Harlow and Zack from "What We Fear" appearing in supporting roles.
