Synopsis

Lanik Mueller, a prince of the technologically advanced Mueller clan, is exiled after his body begins growing the extra limbs and organs that mark him as a radical regenerate. To survive, he must navigate a world of warring clans, each with its own dangerous mastery over the elements: the Muellern's genetic engineering, the Nkumai's atomic manipulation, and the Schwartzes' ability to reshape matter. Disguised as a woman, then as a monstrous hybrid, Lanik uncovers a conspiracy that threatens his people and the fate of his world, all while racing against time to find the iron needed to build a starship and escape their long exile.
