Threads of Amarion
Synopsis
Mershayn opens this book in a cell. The woman he loved is dead, killed brutally, and his kingdom is in the hands of a usurper. Before he can do anything about either, he has to get himself out.
What waits outside is worse than what he left. Avakketh, the god of dragons, has sworn to annihilate humankind, and Wildmane — the only figure anyone believes could stand against a god — has vanished. Mershayn has to take his kingdom back and find Wildmane before the threat arrives.
Running alongside is a threadweaver whose power has stretched to something unnatural: she has brought her own corpse back to life and is holding on to existence in that state. Keeping her sane becomes one more thing Mershayn is carrying as the pieces move into place for the confrontation with the dragon god.
