The Walking Dead, Book Nine

The Walking Dead, Book Nine is the ninth hardcover collection of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's long-running horror comic, gathering issues #97 through #108 of the single-issue series and comprising two collected story arcs, "Something to Fear" and "What Comes After." Cliff Rathburn provides the gray-tone art and Rus Wooton letters, as in the rest of the series. The hardcover was published by Image Comics/Skybound in September 2013.

With the Governor's war behind them, Rick Grimes and the other survivors turn to the harder work of connecting the region's scattered, fragile communities into something larger and more durable. That project draws the attention of a new adversary whose arrival, publisher copy for the volume describes as beginning a conflict "since the Governor's reign of terror" — the start of the Saviors storyline that runs through the following volumes.

As with the rest of the Walking Dead hardcovers, this book collects previously published single issues rather than presenting new material, and continues directly from Book Eight.
