Synopsis

When a man's body is found in a canyon wash near Fort Wingate, the investigation uncovers a connection to a decades-old mystery: a woman who vanished while searching for a rumored gold mine. As Joe Leaphorn, a retired Navajo Tribal Police officer, and Jim Chee, a current officer, dig into the case, the line between the present investigation and a haunting past begins to blur. The case pulls them both into the rugged, culturally layered landscape of the Navajo Nation, where old legends and modern law enforcement collide.
