The First Eagle

Acting Lieutenant Jim Chee finds his fellow officer dying next to a man standing over him, and the case pulls him into a conspiracy that stretches far beyond the Navajo Nation. Simultaneously, retired Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn investigates the disappearance of a woman and a mysterious outbreak of bubonic plague. As their two investigations converge, the scope of the conspiracy widens to involve a scientist, a government agency, and a deadly secret hidden in the remote desert.
