Synopsis

A rescue at a Maine boarding school goes wrong, and by the end of it Annabeth is gone and the goddess Artemis has vanished hunting a monster that could destroy Olympus. A new prophecy names five who will go west to find her before the winter solstice, and warns that two of them will not come back. Percy, not among the chosen, follows anyway. The journey takes the party across the country with Thalia, daughter of Zeus, and Zoe Nightshade of Artemis's Hunters, towards a mountain in California and a burden that has been held there since the first war with the Titans.

This is the comics adaptation of Rick Riordan's 2007 novel, published by Disney-Hyperion in October 2013. Robert Venditti wrote the adaptation, Attila Futaki drew it and Gregory Guilhaumond coloured it. It runs 128 pages and is the third of five graphic novels adapting the original Percy Jackson and the Olympians books.
