Synopsis

Percy Jackson's seventh-grade year ends the way his school years usually do, with a monster attack, and the news waiting for him at Camp Half-Blood is worse: the magical pine tree that shields the camp's borders has been poisoned, and the defences are failing. The only thing that can heal it is the Golden Fleece, somewhere in the Sea of Monsters. With Grover missing and the official quest handed to someone else, Percy sets out anyway with Annabeth and with Tyson, a friend from school who turns out to be a Cyclops and Percy's own half-brother. Their voyage runs through Circe's island, the Sirens' song and a Cyclops's lair, while Percy works out what he is willing to claim as family.

This is the comics adaptation of Rick Riordan's 2006 novel, published by Disney-Hyperion in July 2013. Robert Venditti wrote the adaptation, Attila Futaki drew it and Tamas Gaspar coloured it. It runs 128 pages and is the second of five graphic novels adapting the original Percy Jackson and the Olympians books.
