Synopsis

The third and final book in The Perfect Nurse series. The story picks up directly where the previous book left off, with sisters Darcy and Pippa, their parents and Pippa's husband and child all hiding from the law and finding themselves in increasingly tense and dangerous situations. The nurse narrator lays out the mistakes that brought them here: falling in love with a handsome, married doctor, and then killing him. Darcy's ongoing memory loss continues to drive the plot as she dodges the police in Chicago and struggles to piece together her past, while Pippa is haunted by the choices she has made. The dual storylines keep the family on a knife edge, splitting between Darcy's desperate fight to recover her memory and the rest of the family confronting an unexpected and dangerous surprise at a remote cabin. As the net tightens, the question is whether any of them can escape the consequences of what they have done. A fast-paced, twist-filled conclusion to the trilogy.
