Synopsis

The second book in The Perfect Nurse series. The narrator was once an ordinary nurse, mother and wife, splitting her days between caring for patients on hospital wards, collecting her son from kindergarten and cooking for her husband. Now she is a liar who helped take a life, the very opposite of what a nurse is meant to do. In the aftermath, Pippa remains in Chicago with her husband, son and parents, while her sister Darcy, who has suffered a traumatic brain injury, has been sent to Florida to disappear before she can be arrested over a killing that was committed in self-defence. The fragile calm shatters when a woman with long blonde hair and perfect white teeth turns up at the family home. A former colleague from the same hospital, she is the one person who knows the narrator's biggest secret and darkest lie, and she has returned for revenge. To protect her loved ones and finish what she started, the narrator will do whatever it takes. A page-turning psychological thriller with a jaw-dropping twist.
