Synopsis

After Trent Saban is laid off—and after he's left physically and psychologically scarred stopping a hammer-wielding coworker's rampage—he moves his wife Rita and son Milo into a house in the unfinished Dunsany Estates subdivision, hoping for a fresh start. Then he finds a crack in the master-bedroom closet wall, and throws himself into repairs, following the oddly soothing videos of a DIY YouTuber called Handyman Hank.

Hank always has a solution—and his advice creeps steadily beyond drywall and grout into darker territory, delivered like subliminal instruction. As the house reveals its secrets and Trent's grip loosens, Nick Cutter and Andrew F. Sullivan's The Handyman Method turns home improvement into a story of terror, using a supernatural online haunting to dissect very real horrors of masculinity, failure, and rage.
