Synopsis

A boy's murder and the death of a government agent, both linked to a mysterious car and a pair of golden spider earrings, set the plot of this classic Nero Wolfe mystery in motion. As Archie Goodwin and Wolfe dig into the case, they uncover a conspiracy involving a charitable organization, a woman's past, and a deadly secret hidden in plain sight. The investigation takes them through the glamorous circles of New York's elite and the gritty underbelly of the city's streets, with the trademark wit and banter between the two men at the center of it all.
